Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.

About Blockchair Donut
Blockchair Donut was born out of the idea of giving something back to crypto supporters by the team which built their business around blockchain technology.
We don’t impose any fees on nonprofit organizations since we don’t process any transactions.
Our goal is purely philanthropic. Since we have a huge number of visitors coming to our platform every day, we want to use this advantage to provide much needed reach-out and potentially help many different individuals.
In order to donate your funds to awesome nonprofits you need to have an existing cryptocurrency wallet (Bitcoin, Ehtereum and/or other cryptocurrencies supported by the nonprofit you wish to donate to).
If you don’t have a cryptocurrency address, you can create one with any of the existing crypto wallet apps.
You can find our recommended wallet app here.
Step 1: Choose the campaign
Choose between active campaigns featured at Blockchair Donut. The nonprofits we feature are the proven nonprofit organizations and open-source projects that contribute to the development of the world in many different spheres.
Once you find the campaign you wish to donate to, click on DONATE CRYPTO NOW on the campaign page.
Step 2: Choose cryptocurrency and amount
Select the cryptocurrency which you want to donate. Not all campaigns accept all cryptocurrencies, however, most of them accept Bitcoin.
Choose between the default amounts, or enter the custom amount you wish to donate.
Step 3: Checkout
In order to donate the amount you selected, you can:
Scan the generated QR code with your mobile wallet app
Click on the button “Open in my wallet”, or
Copy the wallet address and the amount to your wallet directly, to finalize the payment.
Most wallets are able to recognize the amount you have indicated in Step 3 from the QR code. Wallets without this functionality will require you to paste the amount and the address into the app.
Send the donation via your wallet.
Step 4: Transaction confirmation, tax receipt and receiving feedback
After sending the funds, it will take a few moments for it to be displayed among the pending transactions.
When we identify your transaction we will show you the tax receipt link which you can save and use for tax deduction purposes, once it is confirmed on the blockchain.
If you wish to receive the feedback on how your funds were spent by the nonprofit you donated to, leave your email address. We will forward it to the campaign maker who will send you information once they engage in the execution of the campaign.
How to create a crypto wallet
Once you or your nonprofit organization create a crypto wallet, you instantly get the wallet address that you can share for receiving cryptocurrency donations. To get featured on our platform as a fundraising campaign, we require you to provide us with your wallet (public) addresses. Donors will then be able to send their funds directly to your wallet. As with bank accounts and credit cards, each nonprofit or open-source project has its own wallet (public) address for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Important note: Never share your private keys, recovery phrase, or passwords with anyone, just like you shouldn’t share your credit card CVV or PIN code!
Since you are on this page, we assume that your organization does not possess a crypto wallet. But, no worries! We are here to suggest you one of the best wallets on the market, from the company that we trust and are proud to call our partner.
Crypto.com Wallet is designed to give you full control and secured custody of your crypto. With Crypto.com Wallet (a non-custodial wallet), you can send crypto to anyone around the world at your preferred confirmation speed and network fee.
Crypto.com Wallet is a decentralized wallet, which means you are the sole owner of your private keys. During the wallet creation, you will have to write down your recovery phrase which when needed will enable you to restore your funds. Having private keys means that you have full control over your funds, and you are the only one responsible for your funds.
To learn how to exchange crypto to fiat, see the section “How to exchange crypto to fiat”.
How to exchange crypto to fiat
Here at Blockchair Donut, we believe in the benefits of cryptocurrencies, and support transacting and using crypto anywhere we can. However, we acknowledge that for nonprofit organizations not all expenditures can be made in crypto. For exchanging donated crypto funds to fiat, we suggest you use Crypto.com App.
This is a crypto asset brokerage that acts as a custodian and stores your crypto for you. Through the Crypto.com App, you can instruct Crypto.com what to do with your crypto on your behalf, but you do not have the full control over the private keys to your crypto. The benefits are that you can easily manage and exchange your crypto to fiat currencies without worrying about losing your private keys. You will enjoy quick access to a wide range of financial products to help trade, grow, and spend your crypto.
Pass the KYC check with your government-issued identity document (passport, ID, or a driver’s licence), which takes up to 3 working days. In the meantime, Crypto.com Wallet will provide you with your wallet address which you can use for featuring at Blockchair Donut.
Once your identity has been confirmed, connect your Crypto.com Wallet to Crypto.com App.
Crypto.com offers friendly in-app support for both the Wallet and App. For more information about using their Wallet or App, you can contact them at any moment for any questions you might have.
