South Korean authorities have uncovered that North Korean hackers managed to steal a significant amount of cryptocurrency in 2019. The stolen funds are equivalent to 58 billion South Korean won or approximately $41.5 million.

The National Investigation Agency identified the hacker groups Lazarus and Andariel as the orchestrators of this cyber theft. These groups are notorious for their cybersecurity breaches and illegal activities aimed at obtaining cryptocurrency.
