Suspicious Transactions Hit DeltaPrime on Arbitrum, Loss Reaches Nearly $6 Million 💸
DeltaPrime, a DeFi protocol on the Arbitrum chain, has been the target of a hack resulting in nearly $6 million in losses. Web3 security firm CyVers disclosed that malicious actors compromised the protocol’s admin wallet, affecting various pools including DPUSDC, DPARB, and DPBTCb.
CyVers noted that the hackers have swapped stolen USDC for Ethereum, complicating recovery. CyVers CTO Meir Dolev mentioned that the attack is ongoing, with losses initially reported at $4.5 million rising to $5.9 million.
On-chain investigator ZachXBT linked the breach to North Korean IT workers who previously conducted similar frauds. These workers used fake identities and KYC documents in scams since June 2024, exploiting vulnerabilities in decentralized protocols.
ZachXBT's report suggests the attackers laundered stolen funds through privacy-focused services like Tornado Cash. The breach has also affected DeltaPrime’s native token, PRIME, which dropped 6.3% in value within 24 hours.
At the time of writing, DeltaPrime's team had not issued an official statement on the incident or recovery measures.
