President Vladimir Putin announced the integration of the digital ruble, Russia's central bank digital currency (CBDC), into the federal budget system beginning next year. The full nationwide adoption is aimed for July 1, 2025.

This integration plan was revealed at the 15th VTB Russia Calling! Investment Forum. Putin highlighted the ongoing efforts to improve business efficiency through this development.
