A hacking group known as 'Dark Storm', with ties to Russia, has claimed responsibility for a significant DDoS attack on the social media platform X, causing temporary disruptions for users. The attack was quickly addressed, with functionality restored.

Cybersecurity firm SpyoSecure reported the incident, noting that the group's leader posted a claim of responsibility on Telegram, although the channel has since been removed.

Ed Krassenstein, a social media personality, confirmed communication with the attackers, who stated the attack was a demonstration of strength without political motivations.

Elon Musk confirmed the attack and noted IP addresses originated near Ukraine. This incident follows past attacks on X and protests over Musk's Department of Government Efficiency.
