Tron founder Justin Sun provided critical financial support to TrueUSD (TUSD) stablecoin, covering a $456 million shortfall from 2023 to early 2024.

Court documents in Hong Kong reveal that TUSD issuer Techteryx faced a severe liquidity crisis when reserves invested in Aria-related entities became unrecoverable. Although Sun publicly claimed only an advisory role, he intervened with emergency funds to ensure redemption demands could still be met.

The case also involves allegations against First Digital Trust for unauthorized transfers to Dubai entities, plus regulatory and partnership obstacles TUSD faces in the U.S.
