Semler Scientific, a prominent medical device company, has made a significant investment in Bitcoin, acquiring $50 million worth between May 13 and May 22. This purchase elevates the market value of Semler's Bitcoin holdings to $474.4 million, situating the company among the top 13 BTC Treasury entities.
Semler's acquisition includes 455 BTC at an average price of $109,801, utilizing net proceeds from an at-the-market stock offering program. Despite this strategic investment, Semler's stock has experienced a 1.36% decline in value, mirroring the Nasdaq's trend.
While Bitcoin's value has surged 181.6% year to date, Semler's shares have increased by 53% since announcing its BTC strategy in May 2024. However, the company's Q1 2025 earnings report disclosed a 44% downturn in year-over-year revenue, contributing to an 18% overall drop in share prices for 2025.
