Hashkey takes aim at XRP ETF in Asia with new fund backed by Ripple 🌏
Hong Kong-based crypto investment firm HashKey Capital has unveiled its XRP fund, titled the HashKey XRP Tracker Fund, with the intention of transforming it into an exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the future. Ripple, the developer of XRP, will serve as the anchor investor. This marks the first investment fund in Asia designed to track XRP's performance.
In close collaboration with Ripple, HashKey aims to attract more institutional capital to regulated XRP products and the broader digital asset ecosystem. The fund represents expanded partnership avenues between the two firms, exploring cross-border DeFi solutions and tokenization, and potentially launching a money market fund on the XRP ledger.
Vivien Wong of HashKey Capital sees this as an opportunity for further collaboration across various investment products, leveraging Ripple's capabilities in cross-border payments and enterprise blockchain adoption.
The XRP Tracker Fund is part of HashKey's broader ETF offerings, following their Bitcoin and Ether ETFs. Industry experts believe the fund sets the stage for significant capital inflows and greater acceptance of crypto assets in global finance.
